How Can We Lose Weight Without Losing Our Sanity In The Process

Let’s Get Down And Dirty Here And Keeping It Real.

Our weight matters to us and no matter how much you deny those nagging earworm thoughts or you just happen to be a super dooper perfect trim size 4-6 figure, then I won’t believe you.

Ever since the prehistoric age, we’ve been obsessed with our weight. But then it was to get as much fat into ourselves so that we could survive the famine cycle of the seasons.

As we’ve been able to evolve as a species, we’ve not changed the way we gorge our food as if the next famine was on its way. (Me included).

The way we process our food hasn’t helped us either. I could murder the person who even thought of the idea of mixing eggs, milk, fat and sugar together.

Who on earth thinks “I know, I have these items what can I do with them, lets try to mix it all up and cook it in the oven.” Viola, a cake has been created… and so has the weight problem begun for me and the millions of others just like me.

The Carb Food Trap

Now that the poxy inventor has created this lovely gooey tasting mixture which we’ve fed ourselves unknowingly to harden our arteries and cause our organs to swell up, surround them with fat and cause blood pressure, diabetes, weight problems, loss of limbs, loss of eyesight and yes even death.

But it’s no use, we know we’re destroying ourselves. Every little millimeter of the fibres in our body is craving for that gooey mess.

  • It is sweet
  • It squishy in our mouths
  • It causes us to salivate
  • We just cannot get enough of it
  • The craving for the squishy sweet goo is so irresistible we can hear it calling to us

Finally, before we’ve even realised it… We’ve been hooked, like a fish on the line and it’s now down to us to change the situation…

Those Darn Excuses Begin To Creep In

Life really has given us a bum ride all packaged up in a box with a pretty bow ribbon on top… hasn’t it?

We’ve been left with all this excess weight on our bodies and a huge craving for carbs. At this stage I just want to bury my head and to never reappear from the abyss ever again.

Despair and the self-pity have set in and I tell myself:

“I’ll start the weight loss diet tomorrow”

“I’ll start the weight loss diet on Monday”

I can’t say no to the cake, it’s only one slice

But it’s their birthday, I cannot say no to the cake

I can hear it, it keeps talking to me

You get the picture… but before we know it, that new weight loss diet never actually got started.

How To Remove The Self Pity Mode

Firstly you needed to begin with my “Why – Why Did I Start To Over Eat”

Analyze what it was you were doing and how you felt before eating and how it made you feel whilst eating and after it’s been eaten.  Ask yourself:

  • Was I hungry
  • Was I emotional – if so what caused it
  • How did I feel after I ate the food
  • Did you enjoy it – if yes… why? If no… why?
  • Did you feel guilty – if yes… then why? If no… why?
  • How could I have handled the situation differently without heading for the food.

By analyzing your emotions towards food before you eat it will help you to get to grips with your overeating. The more you do this the easier it will become and you’ll find over time that you no longer move towards food for your crutch.

A little tip from me…try it!

Before I eat something and it’s not mealtime.

Stand up straight with both hands now press your thumb on your ring finger and close your eyes. In your head ask yourself “is this……(cake etc) good for me? Will it make me healthy. If you begin to sway, then the answer is no so don’t eat it.

I know what you’re saying this sounds daft and I can’t possibly do this in public. But looking a little silly for a few seconds is far much better for you than eating that goo and then falling off your weight loss diet.

Don’t Kick Yourself On The Way Down

The best advice anyone could give you is to not kick yourself when you eat something that isn’t on your plan.

Just say ok, I’ve had it, it’s done now let’s move on and stay with the plan as of now.

You see, that piece of what you had probably didn’t make a difference to your weight loss. However, because you’ve now said to yourself… “Sod it, I’ve blown it now so I may as well carry on.”

A little secret: It’s the carrying on part of falling is what hurts your waistline and NOT that first one little fall.

When All, Else Fails… Get A Little Help

We’re all human, and I for one am no perfect saint and have had many slip ups, I have fallen off more than you could count the amount of hot dinners you’ve eaten in your lifetime.

Because of this, yes I do have my little helpers. Without them, I definitely wouldn’t be able to lose weight.

They are Ketosis Advanced

Been really good but you just cannot resist eating the bread

When the bread keeps calling out your name

I find they work for me even though I’m not on a ketosis weight loss plan too.

I take one tablet twice a day, breakfast and lunch. Drink plenty of water during the day. And viola… as if by magic my cravings have gone.

Ketosis Advanced has been a lifesaver for me, without them I would have fallen and probably stayed on the floor too.

They work so well that I even forget to eat my evening meal, and even though I’ve missed my meal I have to remind myself to eat breakfast in the mornings too.

The benefits that I now have

  • Hunger pangs, gone
  • Cravings, gone
  • Constantly thinking about food, gone
  • I now feel bright as a button
  • I can get out of bed in the mornings without having that dread feeling
  • Brain fog, gone
  • I can now bend over without getting out of breath
  • Constant heartburn, gone

Honestly, the list goes on and on, but the best part is the weight is coming off slowly and I’ve not had to change the way I eat. So why not give it a go yourself!

Now that’s what I call a win, win situation for me.
